RE:Taken 6 weeks to raise $384k6 weeks is alot. It shows that there isn't much interest or IR doesn't do a proper job to tell this story. As an exemple, Element financial issued over 1 billion in stocks, preferred and debenture and was sold out over 24 hrs.
EAG stock is a tax haven. If you're a holder, you sell at a loss and can use this tax loss further against any gains. Then, if you buy into the tax shelter, you get tax benefits + shares and warrants. Let's say you exercice your warrants in 2016 at 0.12 (if the company is still there), your gains of 0.04 $ per share will be offset by your capital loss made on EAG share sold in 2014. The net after tax cost for EAG share is minimal for an actual buyer. Since the project is located in the province of Quebec, investors get a 150% tax credit to invest in these type of ventures.
This is the type of story to tell if you want to create interest for retail investors in that type of stock.
Even though EAG has good grades, I think it is perceived by the market as a limited partnership issuer and a big paper issuer as well. It will take a major find (a.k.a. few million oz) to not make a roll back and make the stock jump to 0.50 $ - 1$ or any price. At this state, the only thing that has improved is the level of knowledge or experience of the people involve (ex: N. Goodman and geologist).
