You Do Not Lose Money On a Reverse SplitYou do not lose money on a reverse split. I know because I held during the last reverse split in November. They simply adjust your share holdings to reflect the new price. If you own $10,000 you will still own $10,000 even after the reverse split. The erosion is apparently legal, but syphering money out of people on a reverse split is illegal. They would get shut down by the FTC. Also, a lot of smart traders trade HVU, if that rumour was true, no one would be trading HVU this low, they would all be selling this and buying the American version UVXY which is around $30.00 with no reverse split anytime soon. Reverse split doesn't lose you money. Some normal companies do it just to make the price look higher just as an illusion to make the company look better. Thats why I always look at Price to Book Ratio for regular companies. But you can even call a securities regulator and ask them if you would lose money in HVU on a reverse split. They'll tell you No... it's illegal.
