RE:RE:TEMEX REPORTS EXCEPTIONAL NEAR SURFACE DRILL RESULTS2 reasons I can see:
1-If you're Goldcorp management, you'd have to ask "Why should we help juniors who we want to buy at some point?  All that will result in is a higher share price and a higher purchase price."  It's a policy decision and it's logical.  
2-The popular business management book "Good to Great" advises management to do just one thing that they can be the best in the world at and stop doing everything else.  Goldcorp can be (and arguably is) the best senior miner in the world.  Their business is mining, not exploring.  They are 2 very different things.

Temex is best grade in camp.  There's no reason to doubt that it will become a very profitable mine.
