In seeking to track the performance of the S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Select Industry Index, the fund employs a sampling strategy. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index represents the oil and gas exploration and production segment of the S&P Total Market Index (S&P TMI).

RE:RE:RE:Questions regarding the silenceArt also said Exxon had long range items done for drilling and were waiting for a ship.  They had one they could pull from another country, I won't speculate which one, but it would cost several million to move it.   If the oil is there, it will be there in another 3 months.  Exxon is looking to drill the most economical way it can.  They don't care about a few months.  Neither should we.

The past political unrest in Liberia is why the offshore has not been previously explored.  Now it is settling down, this is the first real opportunity for big companies like Chevron and Exxon to get in there with signed agreements they know will be enforced.

Art mentioned his frustration with brokerages dumping the stock, thinking they will get it cheap later.  They may miss out.  Art said he did the last financing and he would put more money in another if XOP had to do it.  At least he is putting his money  where his mouth is.  I am going to keep buying it as I can afford it.
