RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Last minute paintingBesides tape painting at the close, something else I've noticed occuring with this stock a lot is what appears as front-running. If you sell at market, your trade shows up at the market price. If you buy at market or at the ask, your trade will go through at the higher price, but the trade shows up on Stockwatch (that shows trades by house) at the lower bid price. Not sure what the purpose of this would be other than price manipulation by those wishing to get in at a lower price. I've seen this happen more often with EGX than with other higher priced gold stocks. I wouldn't mind if I got filled at a lower price, but that's not the way it works. I guess if enough people complain, they might give it a little more attention. Eventually, a rising gold price will allow EGX to break into a higher trading range.
