Each of the companies that have been purchased still operate out of their own offices-Rocky,Calgary,Sherwood Pk etc and thus integration should be a small part-maybe the financial part (invoicing etc)is out of the head office but the day to day stuff is out of the field offices so I do not see your point- the way it looks the different companies put in their requests for equipment etc which would be eveluated by the head office and the capital spent where the best return would come from- the same as any company would do. Thus the financial guys to evaluate buying more equipment or buying another company. Patting the guys on the back should come from the field management-did you ever work for a large organization with many field offices/operations? or just a small one area company.
