The Funds primary investment objective is high current income. The Funds secondary investment objective is capital appreciation The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objectives by investing at least 80% of its managed assets (i.e., net assets plus assets obtained through leverage) in a portfolio of preferred and other income securities issued by U.S. and non-U.S. companies, which may be either exchange-traded or available over-the-counter. In pursuing its investment objectives, the Fund seeks to achieve favorable after-tax returns for its shareholders by seeking to minimize the U.S. federal income tax consequences on income generated by the Fund. There can be no assurance that the Fund will achieve its investment objectives.

Two reasons... One... some positions are large enough that they cant simply sell in the mariket.
Two... The PTA revised offer is not an all cash offer, some might take a slight discount to receive
all cash.. As the revised offer is limited to 27 million cash.. I would like to see the meeting extended another two weeks, so that additional offers can be made.. Then Suroco shareholders can really make the best choice, its tough as one bid comes then the next. I will assume if Verta sees additional value through consolidation of working interests, then it will bid higher.. If not, then that will be the two recent bids will be the final bids to consider. Not sure why all is so rushed.. In any event.. its been profitable for sure.
