Silicon dioxideI was just going over the various reports from UBR on this materal, and boy, do we ever have a lot of it. The historical reserve numbers alone indicate about 2 million tons of the stuff over 98.5% pure, which sell's for US$1.45 per pound today, or about US$2900 per ton!, and that's only on the properties that have been surveyed (take a look at this https://www.uragold.com/pressreleases/60-052214.pdf).
The companay FerroAntlatica has slected a site in Port Cartier (June 16) to build a new anvanced Silcon metal manufacturing facility in Quebec, that uses this material as feed stock to produce Silicon metal, and they plan to produce 50,000 tons of the stuff a year
(https://www.investquebec.com/international/en/press-room/press-releases/ferroatlanticachooses-
quebec-for-its-new-silicon-metal-plant.html).
This is close to a $400 million project which has the go ahead and finacing. It should be in full production by early 2017, just 3 years.
I wonder what these properties we have will be worth as these guys near start up?
