RE:Judge Lioi

RE:Judge Lioi
Minutes of proceedings [non-document] before Judge Sara Lioi. On June 23, 2014, upon the request of counsel, the Court conducted a status conference regarding the impact of Plaintiff's Second Amended complaint on the case management plan published February 28, 2014. Plaintiff's Second Amended Complaint, filed with leave of Court on June 6, 2014, added defendant Citrix's "GoToMeeting" as an additional product that plaintiff alleges violates U.S. Patent No. 6,928,479. Attorneys Thomas Shunk, Kenneth Sheehan, and Christina Moser were present as counsel for plaintiff. Attorneys Ruffin Cordell, Indranil Mukerji, and John Cipolla were present as counsel for defendants. After discussing proposed revisions to the case management plan filed by both plaintiff and defendants in advance of the status conference, the parties agreed to the Court's revised case management plan, published contemporaneously herewith. Additionally, the Court indicated to the parties that it was inclined to only permit claims addressing the current patent at issue, and to prohibit expansion of this case to different patents and technologies, particularly in light of the age of this case and the fact that defendants have filed a new case in California that can be used to address the different patents and technologies defendants now wish to address. If desired, however, the parties may brief the issue for the Court's further consideration. (Court Reporter: None.) (Time: 1 hour.) (P,J) (Entered: 06/23/2014
