wierd math

wierd math
It still baffles me, how people come up with tonnage figures of the pipes without knowing the depth.  Whether the math is done on a napkin, or in your head, or on a piece of paper, whatever.
I took geometry, calciulus, physics, most of that advanced math when I was in school, and for the life of me I just can't come up with an equation to figure out the mass without knowing the depth.  BUT, I'm not an expert as many here are, so I'll go along with almost all of you and call them all "small pipes" without havein a CLUE as to their depth.
I'm very much looking forward to reports on GOLD AND SILVER discoveries of such long-forgotten items of interest I think they will be looking for this 2nd half of 2014 exploration season along with further diamond searching-
