RE:RE:RE:RE:technicalsThe 7.5% gap up caught my eye. Up 16% in a few months on this purchase, can't complain about that. I'm not aware of any recent news. The five year aluminum chart is showing a possible bottoming process. ISK to CAD is showing weakness in the past few months, but longer term the ISK is holding up well since 2009.  It's possible that an institutional buyer likes the company enough to take a chunk of shares.

One of the reasons I bought Alterra was the possibility of just the scenario that redcoats outlined. The good thing about Alterra is that Beaty is able to defend against a hostile bid due to his large holding. It is unlikely that Alterra could be taken out at a bargain price.

I expect steady appreciation until the next couple projects are complete. Still plan to buy the dips over the short and medium term and hold long term.
