Private company Proxima Diamonds, which holds 720 sq. km of concessions in the Northwest Territories' Slave Craton, is also planning exploration work this year, and will soon go public through capital pool company Adent Capital (TSXV:ANT.P).
Proxima has 16 project areas, but will focus its efforts this year on three targets to the southwest of Snap Lake: Eureka, Tavernier and Hortensia. A National Instrument 43-101 report completed in May by Aurora Geosciences recommends an initial program of at least $200,000, including detailed kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) till sampling, ground geological surveys, geological mapping and bathymetric surveying this summer, followed by a gravity survey over the winter.
