Spdr S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Etf V.XOP.W

Primary Symbol: XOP

The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the oil and gas exploration and production segment of a U. In seeking to track the performance of the S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Select Industry Index, the fund employs a sampling strategy. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index represents the oil and gas exploration and production segment of the S&P Total Market Index (S&P TMI).

RE:Good news

RE:Good newsThis is not going to be based on inside sources.  This is a story with a foundation.  Hopefully Art will press release when Exxon advises him they have decided on a drill ship and go forward.  Art made it sound like Exxon were just looking for the best option, as of the AGM.  But Art was clear it will drill in 2014.  So it won't be in the first half, but still in the relative short term.

Art also mentioned at the AGM that Chevron had built a 5 story office building in Monrovia.  So what I took from that is you would not expect Chevron to build such a large, permanent structure, if Chevron didn't know it was going to be in Liberia for awhile.

I think we already have great indicators that this block will prove out to be commercially viable.  We just have to be patient for when that finally occurs.  And hopefully XOP can do something else to increase revenues right now, to help with our share price.
