Melladine mine is an open pit mine operated by Agnico Eagle. There is no underground mining.

Telfer (not Telfar) uses blind sublevel caving to take all rock as ore therefore there is no subjectivity with respect to ore and waste unlike what Pretium proposes with blasthole stoping.

Peak uses ordinary kriging to determine copper content and the gold rides along.

MIK was used for open pit mining at Porgera only. Ordinary kriging is used for underground resourses.
