Silver was already near its current lows in Comex futures, when the market opened.
So, no surprise re the early weakness.
I trade FR and used this morning's sell-off to add back a trading position that I sold on the spike up a couple of weeks ago.
This was 1/3 of my position and I usually hold 2/3 and trade 1/3 in FR and many of my other miners.
I may be early on this buy and I tend to be aggressive and often too early.
I like the chart action and SP has come back below 20 day moving average.

Also RSI has come back to neutral 50 from overbought 80 and Fast Stochastics are below 20 from overbought 90.
I think much of the risk has been reduced, but would not be surprised by more weakness.
Silver is still overbought, but improving.

My biggest concern in the near term is the negative COT data for Comex silver, which could lead to a bigger shakeout.

Shows probably too much bullish sentiment short term with rapid expansion of Spec longs and spike in Commercial shorts.
