RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:News is out!
rothchildish,
i've been following tng for quite some time--several years when it hit around the dollar range and then came to where it is currently trading. the thing that defined tng was cyder and its ability to offer a seamless gaming experience cross platform (as it still does) which paid dividends more so in the past hence the high price point. swift shader i believe may have come either simultanous to it or slightly after but i strongly believe like you this is the value of the company.
now what i am confused on is that swift shader is being licensed out to various groups like adobe etc. but i don't know if any gaming companies currently use it--if they do (providing this isn't already being done) there can be substantial revenue from this--i saw the latest fifa 2015 sampled on electric playground and it looks absolutely phenomenal--i don't know how much it cost to make it and what software they used, but if it was an expensive one this is where swiftshader comes into paly and without a doubt is its weigh in gold. not to mention that there are lots of graphics used for various things mostly 3d in nature--can be used in things like oil and gas, aeronautics, mechanical structure and design and the list goes on and on. i really don't understand why this doesn't seem to be drawing in strong revenue from these sources?
i absolutely agree--the biggest value is with swiftshader but unfortunately i don't have the sense the company is utilzing this amazing tech to its fullest potential and is looking too much on the video game aspect which is really cool because i love video games but there is so much more!
very interesting tech and company that's for sure. i honestly feel that global's target point is extremely viable and will most likely happen in the later part of this year--just wait for some financials to come out--today's news isn't half bad.
