You do not understand the deal. The debt load is such that development of the asset is significantly hampered. The deal allows the deb holder to get cash at a rate above where most of the deb holders got into the bonds. The shareholders are protected by carrying through into Spinco where additional cap[ital can be expended by Aspenleaf allowing proper development of the area. Without this deal production would grow marginally over decline.
I agree 12.5% is low but it is better than the deb holders getting all the value. this is hardly about the officers keeping their jobs. Don't be so stupid.
