RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:$1,000,000,000.00 For Ring Of Fire! You see Blunderman anyone can offer convoluted facts on any subject. Prior to the May 1st budget Minister Cravelle made an announcement here in Thunder Bay committing 1 billion dollars to the ROF contingent on the feds providing matching funds. That is fact. But during the election campaign that all changed. In many speeches the premier and the minister stated over and over that if the feds didn't ante up the province would go it alone. In the June 14th budget speech the finance minister stated that the province will be committing 1 billion dollars to the ROF. Nothing was said about it being contingent on the feds committing the same. The document you are reading dates back to May 1st. As I said a lot has changed since then. This whole thing is very complicated as we all know especially with politicians going 'he said we said' and trying to generally , well, play politics...! Reality is that the goods are there and the province is starved for jobs, development and revenues. We all know what's going to happen in the end.
