RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Very suspicious!I am having a hard time reaching the conclusion that Chevron had a negative result, or Exxon is waffling. The AGM was not that long ago and if this were the case, Art would not have been so optimistic in his presentation. And Chevron has pumped a lot of money into Liberia since their first well a couple years ago. I am going to rely on that to continue to believe this play has legs. And as for why West Telus is not back, or Chevron has not continued to drill, or why Exxon has not announced a dril date, I won't speculate about why Multinational Oil companies do business the way they do.
I think the impatience of people who want a drill date is colouring some perception here. It could as easily be argued that XOP pulled their presentations because they realized it was actually providing valuable information to other parties about the tendency of the play. The XOP analysis went beyond our block. Maybe other players have approached Exxon and are trying to negotiate for a piece of the play, which is why Exxon has delayed, while negotiating. If the Chevron results showed a trend toward our block, it would be good business for them to approach Exxon to try to work out a jv deal. Unfortunately, we just have to be patient. I am still a buyer.
