Here's another pearl of wisdom!
As I had previously discussed I was trying to figure out a value for SLI without including the Tesoro project. We will call this the base value at which the stock should be supported in the event that SLI fails to deliver the goods on its 100% owned Tesoro property.
Much to my own surprise that base value turns out to be $2.78 per share. We are trading at about $2.50! To me this is incredible. The stock is trading at a discount when you completely ignore their crown jewel deposit at Tesoro!
How can this be? Well, it would seem that investors are 100% focused on the Tesoro project. I am sure you have heard the statement “not seeing the forest through the trees”, well, this seems to ring true for this property!
