RE: BetaSorry to be off topic everyone but it bothers me to see Johnny Canuck spew things out of his mouth as if he knew what he was talking about. Being in the industry I can tell you for a fact why VHS won over Beta. Sony were the inventors of Beta and got greedy. They decided they would not license beta and would be the only manufacturer. JVC who invented VHS had the forsight to liscense their product to every other manufacturer. When you have ten times the number of companies pumping and selling a product that works though maybe slightly inferior the masses will win out and did.
