did De Beers just leave the party?

According to t 2005 press release, here is the reason Shore took over Kensington. "Kensington has run a joint venture in the forest with international diamond giant De Beers and two smaller companies. The merger strenthens the potential for sales because of De Beers? experience marketing diamonds. Right now, Shore has no marketing agreement for its diamonds. That could quickly change with De Beers on board. " So did DB just leave?
