Hi there, I checked out their presentation:

Page 11 mentions "Tax-free rollover election afforded to Canadian resident Bell Aliant shareholders".  It appears that you will not be taxed if you take the share exchange... might be some paper work though.  I think we would need to read the offer when it is mailed out mid-August, but 

As for your average cost price if you take the stock for stock option #2 (or the partial cash and stock option #3), ya you'd basically add up the cost of what will be your new BCE shares to your existing BCE shares and divide by the total number of shares.


Unfortunate for BA owners at +$31... and awesome for those who bought below.  I'm just kicking myself for not getting back into this one when it took a dump around $25 a few months ago.
