ikebalinski: now that Kurds and Baghdad have a common enemy
ikebalinski: now that Kurds and Baghdad have a common enemythe two sides will be inclined to come together. From that unity, dialogue and lasting resolution may come. This is not to say ISIS will not put up significant resistance or that things will not deteriorate further in the near term but both sides united against ISIS stand a chance of gaining international support because the international community can intervene without having to take sides between the Kurds or Baghdad. Instead the fight is about ISIS and all sides will share a common enemy. I’d say that the days of the Kurds sitting on the sidelines are over.
