RE:Goldex

RE:GoldexRoller, Did you by chance watch this video?  Are you aware of what is in a tailings dam?  Are you aware this area provides for 1/3 of the sockeye salmon breeding grounds in Canada?  I spent 17 years working on the construction of a tailings impoundment, and for the life of me, I can not imagine a breach of this magnitude in North America.  Is the sky falling.... Or is this perhaps the largest single tailings dam failures in N.A?  I know things will recover, but the black eye this puts on mining has yet to be felt.  FWIW, I worked also on the Grouse Creek Project.... This dam feeds into the Yankee fork, 5 miles downstream it feeds into the Salmon River which eventually feeds into the Columbia.  You should see what they have had to do to contain 300 vertical feet of water in this Dam.... If you don't think this sets back mining (especially in places that get significant precip), then you fail to understand what has happened.  Do you think the First Nations are going to just sit by and say, ohhhhh, no issue.

I think a logical discussion on this is completly valid, and it doesn't matter if you like it or not, this will be a huge issue for BGM and all other BC mining projects.
