As for the rest of the gloom and doom comments here, Bryan Kynoch is a class act and mid term financing for Red Chris is not a problem, Murray E can just write a cheque for a few hundred million from his chequing account, Actual remediation and clean up costs will be minimal....... its been proven time and again that when somethig like this happens , theres more environmental damage caused by attempts to return the solids to the dam than just leaving them in place and allowing mother nature to do her thing. Rebuiding the dam would not be cost prohibitive and remember these dams are inspected every 12 months by external independent geotechnical engineers. If the last inspection showed no defects, that goes a long way to demonstrating III's due diligence. And on a positive note , a repaired dam now has a lot more capacity.
