Abacus Mining & Exploration Corporation is a Canada-based mineral exploration and mine development company focused on copper and gold in British Columbia (B.C.) and Nevada. The Company’s main asset is a 20% ownership interest, together with KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. (80%), in the proposed copper-gold Ajax Mine located southwest of Kamloops, B.C., which has undergone a joint provincial and federal environmental assessment process. The Ajax Project comprises eight Crown grants, including the Ajax East and West pits. The Company is also engaged in the process of acquiring a 100% interest in the Willow copper-gold property located near Yerington, Nevada, and it also controls the contiguous Nev-Lorraine claims subject to a ten-year lease agreement. The Willow property is located approximately 65 kilometers southeast of Reno and approximately 13-kilometer due west of Yerington, Nevada, in the Buckskin Mountain Range. Its porphyry copper deposits are Yerington, Ann Mason, Bear and MacArthur.

Sidenote:

Negative press tends to sway only one way when selling the news. Regarding the mining industry, lets remember whats not being reported while negative press continually spins it only one way.

HVC in nearby Logan Lake (Canada's largest open pit mining operation) has a track record environmentally that has been a converse argument to the Mt Polley disaster. HVC in Logan Lake has proven that open pit mining within B.C. and Canada, can be done without the Mt. Polley results. See if you can get the press to spin that well known fact and then associate it to the singular Mt. Polley environmental breach. Just saying ...

Attaching Mt. Polley's bad decision making possibly? and that will come out - if so, has very little to do with the KGHM Ajax Mine that's awaiting environmental and etc. approvals.

They are apples and oranges away within the indifference, but tell that to the press because HVC would be an upside environmental story of compliance (over 30 plus years and still growing)
