Just because you have data at a greater depth than 1000 ft does not necessarily mean that it can be included in the resources. Mineralization has to meet the NI43-101 standards of having "reasonable potential for economic extraction". Snowden reported the 5Moz resource within a pit whose size and depth was based on liberal mining costs and the block grades (at a feasibility level it will be smaller and shallower). It went as deep possible in order for there to be for reasonable potential for economic extraction. This protects investors from thinking there is more ounces that can be mined for a profit than there really are.
