WINNIPEG, MB. (August 15, 2014) NEWSWINNIPEG, MB. (August 15, 2014) - Donald Benson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd. (the “Corporation”), today announced the Corporation has received an extension to the previously announced farmin at Noel B.C. Nordic now has until October 14, 2014 to begin the recompletion of an existing well.
In other news the Corporation is pleased to advise that it has returned four wells to production in Joffre, Alberta. The wells had been shut in pending recompletion of operating and transportation agreements with a major company. In addition at Joffre, “We are pleased to announce that the pressure gauge on a well drilled in 2009 at 6-24-38-25 W4 has pressure reading of 2400 KPA,” Mr. Benson stated.
“When this well was perforated it had only 20 KPA on the gauge and thus indicated near wellbore damage from drilling fluids. Plans were to frack this well however, nature seems to have taken care of the problem for us. The well is only 120 metres from our pipeline, thus we expect to have this well tied in and on production this fall,” he added. This well, along with the workover on the 11-13-38-25 W4 well, will give the Corporation substantial gas sales heading into the winter months
In all, this would bring to nine the number of wells on production, including the four Coal Bed Methane wells which have remained on, as they were operated by a partner that shares ownership.
