RE:RE:RE:RE:Got Gold Trip to CEMHi Good question..There are many limestone deposits in the area..even soon along the road to the Palmer camp. You can also use the tailings from the barite(carbornate) deposits that are part of the Palmer VMS deposits. Why don't other mines use this procedure..don't know but it would reduce the risk in case of a tailing pond breakout. Another procedure being used in modern mines is mixing the tailings with cement and reinjecting into the mine shaft.More expensive..but when you have a major fishery nearby..worth the cost. You can rest assured that I will check the tailing pile every year for PH and integerty.CP
