I do not believe that RIM would consider taking a look at WIN for its patents in any way shape or form... it would be my understanding that RIM is just wanting to monetize it's own patents nothing more... as it has neglected to do so therefore strategically RIM is looking at its own vast portfolio and wanting to reap some rewards from infringers of its patents..
