RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Calvalley Petroleum announces declarati on of special divNorthforce, I saw your post at lunch today and wanted to wait at home to respond back. First, I would like to say that I am not an experienced investor but I know a bit. I have been investing for 20 years in mutual funds, which consist of a number of stocks to minimize risk attributed to bad performance. for the past 4 years, I have made a run at the stock market. Similarly, I try to diversify my stocks in my portfolio also the activity. I also know that every large oil producers (shell, exxon, chevron, etc.) were at one point juniors and have at one point diversified their producing fields in different countries. I have invested in a few juniors that have diversified (or will) their revenue stream. First, Camac energy (CAK) have last year acquired Nigeria off shore Oyo-8. In order to do so, they had to raise a lot of cash and diluted their share pool. During this process, every shareholder receive 160% of their no of shares as a special divi. They have licenses and are actively exploring onshore and offshore Kenya, offshore Gambia, and offshore Ghana. They are currently producing 1,200 bod and will add 14,000 bod after Q1 2015 with the oyo-8 fileds which are currently have been drilled. Africa oil (AOI) have licenses for oil and gas in Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Mali. AOI reached an agreement with Tullo 3 years ago in a joint venture that involves 10 exploration wells and 4 test wells in kenya. they have great potential in Ethiopia, which was evaluated by an independent party. this company will at one point be quite profitable. Mart resources (MMT). They have yet diversified but they are the runner up to acquire shell's OML 18 in nigeria. Mart has for a 2 year period paid recurring dividends (0.05 x 4 = $0.20) when the SP oscillated between $1.20 - $1.80 for a yield of 15%. Due to their substantial oil loss through theft (18%-25%), they have partially funded a new pipe line, which should be commissioned in the next few months. this will allow an increase production and a decrease in oil theft. To fund oml 18 and pipe line, they have reduced their recurring divi to 0.015 x 4 = $0.06 for a yield of 5% Transglobe: I have not followed that much TGL in the last year but was contemplating investing in it last year. They are mainly based in egypt and also yemen. I know that the egyptian goverment was auctioning blocks last year and was hoping that calvalley would have shop around but they did not or were not successful. if nofool easyoil and other more experience investor want to add, it will be very welcomed.
