RE:RE:RE:Cheapest SAAS Business in CanadaAlthough I agree Wanted is cheap, defining which SaaS companies are cheap based off of earnings on the income statement isnt a very good measure and isnt really comparing apples to apples.
The best and cheapest SaaS companies in the world will typically be unprofitable as the returns they generate from sales and marketing spend are SO lucrative that they spend as much as they can, thus there growth costs are very large. if you strip out a saas companies growth costs and see what the imbedded margin is if they were to stop growing would be a better measure. as well as the returns there getting on customer acquisition costs. Those two figures give you a better idea of the value of the SaaS company, the economics of the product, and managements confidence they can sell the product. short term profitability really doesnt tell you much, Sales force is a 30 billion dollar company and makes no profit based on accounting metrics. but if you could strip out growth costs and capitalize it they would be hugely profitable. DARN Accounting Issue!
