RE:RE:not cheap for long
RE:RE:not cheap for longHere is what has happened.
- In June all the developers, and support staff at the Toronto office that were part of the original Interfleet product were let go. The Toronto staffing levels are at about 20% of what they were 3 years ago. The staff consists of sales people and project managers.
-The new platform that interfleet is related to the Quadrant product. Support, and development is now done by the crew in BC.
-This company has been increasing prices every year for the last 3. They have hit the point in the supply/demand where their sales team can only land enough sales to compensate for the number of customers/units lost.
-Competition with good products and better pricing is making it difficult for this company to land enough new sales to grow the company.
My hope is that now that the company has consolidated their development and support operations in BC they can run lean and offer better pricing to land new contracts. If they stick with their current pricing strategy they are going to continue to loose. All the ingredients that go into their product- GPS, Celular Data, Web Services - all continue to drop in price it should not be getting more expensive for their customers.
