Reluctantly I have to agree with you. Divs are not going to make you rich. At 3 and 4% you would have collect divs for 300 years to add upto anything. Real money can only be made when a stock spikes on some new initiative an who cares about divs? Google and Birkshire Hathaway both never pay divs but their investors are happy as a pig in slop.
