US frac universe, up again (2) - cut & paste

US frac universe, up again (2) - cut & pasteI dont wan't to come across as a pumper - I am not.  But just calmly looking at names, prices, sentiment and material flows. Maybe someone down in the US put out some research - but emes, slca and hclp all up 2-3% today (and the S&P off 0.3%).

Texas cement data was released yesterday (by the Texas Comptroller): Growth in Texas Cement Shipments Accelerates to +22% in July, +13% for Jan-Jul.

The basins are taking on "oil well cement" and Texas is humming along.  Next data point will be a proposed $10/ton cement price increases in Texas by TXI/MLM on 1 October.  Cemex are out with a $27/ton 2015 price increase - and a lot of it front-loaded into January/Q1.

I see no reason why proppants will not lead, or follow suit on frac sand pricing.

My sense is sand spot is hot.
