RE:RE:THE NEW DEAL on the table very soon
Thanks for the question about the OIL Company called NOC.
"NOC" is also just a reference to different national oil companies of different countries.
A national oil company (NOC) is an oil company fully or in the majority owned by a national government. According to the World Bank, NOCs accounted for 75% global oil production and controlled 90% of proven oil reserves in 2010.[1]
Due to their increasing dominance over global reserves, the importance of NOCs relative to International Oil Companies (IOCs), such as ExxonMobil, BP, or Royal Dutch Shell, has risen dramatically in recent years. NOCs are also increasingly investing outside their national borders.
After researching i could of been mistaken assuming it was Lybia'sNational Oil Company ( NOC )
Japan also has Nippon Oil Company ( NOC )
China’s Cnooc the smallest of China’s three NOCs (after CNPC and Sinopec)
Even Ecuador has a NOC But looking at the volumes of oil it is not a Major world oil company.
EP Petroecuador (
Empresa Estatal Petróleos del Ecuador;
Empresa Pública Petroecuador; literally: Petroleums of Ecuador State Enterprise) is the
national oil company of
Ecuador.
The news release states it is working with a "Major NOC "
So my conclusion i can not confirm my assumption of Lybia being the NOC stated in the release.
Does anyone know what the country of origin is for the current NOC being renegotatated with Ivanhoe Energy?
