From Chinese companies announcing big deals that never happened to traders putting out false news releases on deals this past year has seen a lot of weird stuff. I remember when NUS was stunned when news came out that there was a buy-out offer. Then it turned out some guy was sending news to news wire that the company didn't know about and it would appear no deal ever happened. I think they later realized he was trying to move his own position into a dead market. It just goes to show you not to believe anything that you hear and only half of what you see.

Time to head to the lake.
