The company's representatives are currently in Tunis, Tunisia, to review the efforts of the technical evaluation team and to take part in the Invest in Tunisia, Start-up Democracy conference held today, Sept. 8, 2014, attended by the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry, the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, and other foreign dignitaries. Also participating are representatives of regional and international economic and financial organisations such as the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) as well as investors from several countries. The company is pleased with the progress to date on the first open-permit application with definitive news expected shortly. As well, the company's technical team, has identified an additional open permit with high potential and a decision is expected in the near term on whether to make application to the Tunisien Direction Generale de l'Energie (DGE). The company is also pleased to have an initial focus on Tunisia, where a recent Ernst & and Young (EY) report entitled "African oil and gas: driving sustainable growth" has identified onshore Algeria/Tunisia as the No. 1 exploration hotspot.
