Turning Point ?

Turning Point ?A year or so from now we may view the recent events as a turning point for Canexus.

Under the previous management the NATO project has been a Fiasco!

Those responsible have been replaced.

It appears that MEG attempted to take advantage of the new CEO of a company in a precarious financial position.

Instead of rolling over Doug Wonnacott called their bluff and won.

As Mark Carney once said “Trust arrives on foot and leaves in a Ferrari”.

I suspect that Canexus’s difficulty in contracting all of the NATO capacity and or finding a partner is due to a well-deserved lack of trust/confidence that they can get the job done.

Doug Wonnacott has made a very good first step.

The next steps will to get NATO commissioned, in service and operating efficiently. If Canexus can do a good job of that the trust/confidence will return. It will take time, one step at a time.

As for the relationship between MEG and Canexus I don’t think that there will be any major damage. There was some “Corporate Brinkmanship” at play. It’s clear that NATO has capacity that MEG desires. The only thing that has changed is that they now know that they are not dealing with a “push over” and will have to actually negotiate “in good faith” and compete with others that would like the capacity. Business is Business.

I have to admit that my optimism re CUS was waning a bit but has been restored. That said I expect it to remain a “Show Me” story for some time and patience will be required.
Only time will tell if my renewed optimism and patience will be rewarded.

As Always; Do Your Own Due Diligence; It’s Your Money !!

PS; a1broker1; I don’t think that Kherson’s “agenda” is hidden. He fancies himself and would like to be perceived as a “Knowledgeable Investor”. Time and time again he proves the opposite to be true.

One of the many benefits of living in Canada is that we have “Freedom of speech”. That makes it possible for the “Kherson’s” to shoot their mouths off without the fear of being imprisoned, tortured, shot or beheaded. They can be very irritating and annoying but it’s a small price to pay for our freedom of speech. As 177 people to date would attest the “Ignore Kherson” option is available.
