RE:RE:Does anyone know what happened suddenly???Gold declined to the USD 1250 area where is seemed to find support and some buying interest.
The sell-off over the past week has been due to the strength of the US dollar, which has been on fire the last three weeks, with the trend accelerating after Labor day.
Since the end of June, the US dollar index is up just over 5% - that's a large move in a short period of time for a currency.

On the LSG US chart, the price decline just filled the gap that was registered on July 7th.
The stock price is also back in the vicinity of the March highs.
So, technically, this is a good area for a bottom to occur.

I wouldn't expect a V bottom, but you never know - look at the lows in March and May.
At the low in March, price sort of went sideways for a week before heading higher.
Whereas, in late May, there was a quick move out of the hole and then a short consolidation.
