This morning looks like another head fake - because as I said days ago - the bulk of news will come when Gamba is in NYC. THAT might soon start being speculated about though. I guess we won't know until it happens but Pointer, Oso Pardo, Tigro, Capella and maybe even the shale will be talked up in the next release I think. I would not be surprised if the bpoed announcements total over 3,000 but less than 1300 would shock me. And the production numbers might be even more satisfying to those who have wondered if they will meet guidance. Here is the bid ask this morning....81 6.45 C 6.45 C 85

Shale is not going to happen for a few years. Right now CNE has the land, and some partners - but there's not going to be any production from shale for a while. Until then it's testing and exploration of these lands only. The horse bolted from the barn way too early on this - CNE touted it too hard in the beginning, reaped some short term stock appreciation, and we continue to see the long term reprecussion of the company's inability to reign in it's overly optimistic hype machine.

You can sing this company's praises all day long on this forum, but it won't make a lick of the difference. CNE is tainted goods. The market values it quite poorly - not for lack of material assets, but because management's track record in terms of decisions, timing of news releases, off the cuff remarks, etc, is not all that good.

The stock is still a whopping 30% off it's recent high. That's 30%. Again, for those not reading too clearly - 30%. That speaks volumes more than anything else.

30%.

Find me another company that's tanked that much without much of a material change. It ain't going to happen.

The SP is struggling to tread water above 6 bucks. Another 2-3K in production isn't going to do much but bring a few temporary sighs of relief, and "I told you so" s from the peanut gallery. Canacol has a PR problem. It's become a day trader's dream though, so they've got that going for them.

This board's history is akin to terrible strip show. So much aniticpation, pent up excitement, and then it comes time for the good part of the act - surprise, it's your mom. What's worse, is you keep going back, hoping that next time it won't be your mom. Nope. Still your mom.
