Development of terminal at Port of Long Beach

Development of terminal at Port of Long BeachA good update earlier this week on the terminal development at The Port of Long Beach - released on the company's website:

https://polarmin.com/photo-gallery/long-beach-port-terminal/berth-dredging/

Overall, this looks like an excellent facility.  Shows 130,000 ton stock pile capacity on a generous layout area - probably more tonneage in a truck load out area too.

Excellent mooring design - easy on and off wit the floating pontoons - intelligent , practical design.

Execution.  Slated to be in operation in Q4 (which commences in 20 days).  As this slipped from a "mid-year" commissioning (lets fairly say a 6-month set-back) - it is an important step for Polaris.  A new entrant point in a major California market.

Marketing of aggregate in this market is being undertaken by Polaris - not by a marketing partner.  So with highers ASPs in LA, and all margin retained - this will become a key driver of sustainable profitability (+ rev growth) - in 2015 and beyond.

An excellent development fo Polaris.
