RE:Waiting while Gold getting crushed ... thoughts

RE:Waiting while Gold getting crushed ... thoughtsNo.  This was not a "very good move by CYD management" by any metric unless you mean FOR CYD management!  Let me explain once again.

Prior to the AEM leash, CYD showed a pattern of rising even while gold was falling.  Of course, on down days, CYD would slip a bit, but on up days, more than recover.  One step back, two steps ahead.  But now that its more highly leveraged legs have been cut out from under it for the sake of a quick pay-out to management and a quick sell-out of shareholders, that leverage has been sacrificed.

Note the tracking between AEM and CYD today.  Of course, this is anothe down day for all the gold shares or pretty well all.

Gold will not fall forever.  Bebek and Boyd both know that.  When the gold train turns around, CYD would have shown some serious up momentum.  Now it is shackled to the far more moderate rise AEM may enjoy.

Additionally, the PM sector is not a get-rich-quick sector in the environment.  So patience is a prerequisite.  But when the buying mania stage sets in, all bets are off.
