RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Short Positionskramaswamy; Thank you for your input, greatly appreciated Shorts keeping the company in check sounds nice but same effect if not more “open” approach would be if people were to simply sell their stock because they no longer have confidence in company. Same effect/ punishment. How simple ( if simple was the goal ) Instead they sell on high, and buy back in on the low later same day ... Investing in a company if one is honest should be simple. you either believe the company is or will do well in the future and lay down your hard earned cash to buy in or you sell if you do not think the value is there anymore. It is then an honest gamble. Stocks and subsequently companies have been manipulated since the beginning. everyone knows it is a system that can be and is abused. I could have made far more money playing the buy and sell game with this stock but I simply hold what I have until I decide I am done with it. Am I an idiot for not “playing the game”, maybe but it goes against my grain. 100 years ago you typically only had the wealthy playing these games. Vanderbilt was a classic example of a stock manipulator. Greed over what was right or good. Totally destroyed good companies based on false rumors. Bought and sold under shell companies etc Today you have mom and pop investors with life savings in the pot and that is no longer a game. No, I believe far more should be done to stop any games being played with a company’s value. Of course most of the brokers and financial institutions seem to be acting more as pimps and prostitutes then wise men and women. Just look at subprime BS, Arthur Andersen scandal, Enron etc etc Oh all great people and companies with smiling faces and nice suits, yeah right, just pimps and prostitutes who screwed honest people out of their savings and never did jail time. Odd token was put in jail but lots of others should be behind bars Wonder why, could it be the regulators are also guilty of living off the “avails” LOL AVO have some very good financial reports, they are in a fast growing market, and for now have great product and team. This is why I purchased in first place. People manipulating things risk damaging a good company for pure greed. I know I sound moralizing but in the security business, integrity is everything. I would dump AVO in a heartbeat if I thought the company had no prospects, but I do not accept people “playing” with a company’s value. So here’s hoping that the manipulators get stung real bad. Appreciate everyone’s insights to the stock game because I am new at this and only wish to learn the game, not to abuse it but to be sure I am not a victim of it. Cheers.
