RE:RE:RE:Land Bill

RE:RE:RE:Land BillHi bogfit:

I like your thinking. I know Senator Heller (R) Nevada and Senator Reid (D) Nevada and Senate majority leader are behind this bill and have worked quite hard with their House counterparts (Amodei and Horsfield) to get the wording on the House bills to the point where there is good agreement with the Senate versions.

Senator Reid is the one who controls what comes to the floor for a vote. I too think the odds are pretty good that the key Lyon County bill comes up for a vote this session, for the very reasons you mention. This is Congress's second attempt to pass the bill....so how would it look to voters back home if they have to start all over again in the next session of Congress...??? Not good.

Political self preservation suggests the odds are pretty good the (bipartisan=non controversial) bills get passed in the lame duck session. Its not a slam dunk, but I like your way of thinking! (and hope your odds are right as well!!)
