naturally enriched in metals which is why there are active mine sites in the region.
Therefore, we expect the naturally occurring metal concentrations for some metals
to be much greater in this region than elsewhere in the province."
I would conclude from Mr. Morton's letter and the testing done so far,that it would be safe to say the tailings sediment is, on average, the same or better than the naturally occuring sediments in many areas surrounding the minesite.
And that is definitely an opinion from a layman, and a biased one at that. However, I cannot find any evidence for the toxic sludge opinions.
