New pipeline will be a major improvement.  However, leak detection detectors is not theft free. When detected, they will have to first promptly locate, and the proceed immediately with repair. When in the middle of nowhere how long to gain access and repair?  When they were planning and designing this project, I had high expectations that the preferred solution would have been leak detection combined to a pipe encased in a pre cast concrete pipe built at a depth of 10 m.  Perhaps that the government could have reduced royalties for a while such to fund this project. I'm sure after a few years with losses less than 7% they could have made up that major cost. Win-win IMO for government and producers
