Kinross' Cash Value

Kinross' Cash Value
Kinross' share value is far lower than I ever thought it would fall.  Where is the bottom ... ~ $3.67 CDN at the time of posting?  I am not sure, but I find some comfort from a review the last quarterly financials and look forward to Q32014 results at the end of the month.

With reference to Q22014, I see comfort in the net current asset value of Kinross totalling $1,858 million (nearly half of which is cash).  I further see comfort in the net cash operating position of Kinross - some $210 million of Q22014.   Transferring these amounts to a per share value is helpful.
  • Current assets represents more than $2.12 per share;
  • Net current assets represents more than a $1.62 per share;
  • Net cash flow from operations (annualized from Q22014) represents more than $0.72 per share.
Viewed another way - is Kinross's reserves, long-term assets, and operating value worth only $3.05 ($3.67 - $1.62) per share?  I think not.
