RE:Should SNC be accountable for bribery actions....they have been haven't you been keeping up on the lawsuits, the latest one just last week
MONTRÉAL, Oct. 1st, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) acknowledges the Federal Crime Court of Switzerland's acceptance of guilty pleas entered by Riadh Ben Aissa earlier today in connection with certain criminal charges. SNC-Lavalin is pleased to have been recognized as an injured party in these proceedings and to have recovered certain amounts of money from Mr. Ben Aissa while preserving the Company right to assert other civil claims against Mr. Ben Aissa in the future, including for the recovery of additional funds.
What is at issue is do you prosecute the people involved or the entire company. The new CEO has been cleaning ship for the past two years. This company like others in the field have it to easy when it comes to bribing for certain contracts in certain areas of the world.
So again do you go after the people involved or sanction the company. In the end the court will decide, but even with all this corruption scandal they have been getting contracts with this new CEO with his hands on approach.
